4B. Developmental Players

Each team is allotted two and only two slots for "Developmental Players." These players can be kept on a team's roster for as long as the owner wants. Developmental players do not have to be signed to contracts and do not count against a team's roster limit. This means that if you have two developmental players on your team you essentially have 20 players.

Only certain players may be declared as Developmental Players, the restrictions are as follows:

1) No player that has started an NFL game at any point in their career (based on NFL.com's "Games Started" stat) can placed in the Developmental Player slot.
NFL.com indeed says Watson has started a game.

Is there a site that I can go to to verify whether someone has started?? I am not doubting you but Graham was healthy for that game and got the bulk of the TE catches so I don't see how Watson would have started.

Games 1, GS 1

I don't care either way but it also lists Graham as having started 14 of 14 games last year.
Well you can start 2 TEs, and if you remember last year, NE played IND in the first game. NE came out w/ Dillon on the bench to begin the game and went w/ a hurry up offense. I think they had both Graham and Watson starting

Yet another team outwitted by the Patriot's gameplanning. Someone stop the madness.
