Nice pickup Flux, you get a free roster spot to use on a TE this year while you have Winslow under contract. Very smooth. If I had read the rules more carefully I probably would have picked up Winslow a few rounds earlier.

What is the real value of picking him?

He becomes an RFA. so what.

Flux has two options, actually 3. Two if he wants to retain him.

1-Franchise tag him. whick will cost him a minimum-maximum contracts of current TEs. Tough to swallow.

2-Transistion Tag him. Which will only give him the option of MATCHING any rfa bids on him.

So i do not see any real value in the selection. Unless he finds a way to get on the field this season.

Cuz in the long-run. Using your Franchise tag on a TE is not smart. But hey thats my opinion.
Winslow doesn't become a RFA, the person picked up to replace him does. Winslow's contract is unaffected.

Flux can sign Winslow to an length contract he wants. Then he picks up a free player to use while Winslow is on the IR this year.

Sorry, Stover was the best kicker with bye week 3, I had to grab him. You'll see why I needed him when I unveil my super secret roster strategy in week 4.
